Our School Day

Start of the Day

Parents and children can arrive at school from 8:30am. There will be a member of staff supervising the playground from 8:30am, so the older children can wait without an adult.  When children are waiting on the playground before the doors are open, they need to be standing calmly chatting to friends and family.

Cherry Class – Please wait on the Year R outdoor area until 8:40am. At 8:40am the door will be opened and parents/carers are welcome to bring children into class and settle them for the day.  Parents/carers are asked to ensure they have left the classroom by 8:55am, so learning can start at 9:00am.

Silver Birch Class – Please wait on the main playground until 8:40am. At 8:40am the door will be opened and parents/carers are welcome to bring children into class and settle them for the day.  Parents/carers are asked to ensure they have left the classroom by 8:55am, so learning can start at 9:00am.

Sycamore Class – Please wait on the main playground until 8:40am. At 8:40am the children can make their way into the classroom through the outside door.  We expect these children to come in and organise themselves independently in the morning.  If parents/carers need to speak to the class teacher, Mrs Rennison is usually available on the balcony area.

Maple and Willow Classes – Please wait on the main playground until 8:45am. At 8:45am the children can make their way into the classrooms.  If parents/carers need to see the class teacher, we ask them pop in before 8:45am or pass a message to them through the School Office.

Break Time

The whole school enjoys a morning break together from 10:40am – 11:00am.

Lunch Time

Lunchtime is from 12:00pm – 1:00pm. The children sit in their house groups to eat lunch, with the older children supporting the younger children where necessary.

End of the Day

School finishes at 3:20pm for Cherry and Silver Birch Classes and at 3:25pm for Sycamore, Maple and Willow Classes and we ask that children are met promptly

Cherry Class and Silver Birch Classes – the class teachers will hand the children over to the adult collecting them at the classroom door.

Sycamore Class – children will wait on the balcony area with the class teacher until they see the adult collecting them.

Willow and Maple Classes – class teachers will accompany the children out onto the playground where they can meet the adult collecting them.
