West Berks Food Bank

Today I took the lower school members of the school council to visit the Newbury Food bank. We had a visit from Rosie who manages the food bank, a couple of weeks ago, and she spoke to the school council about the possibility of St Martin's raising some donations for them, explaining what they do and who they help. The School Council were really keen to help, and so we asked if they could visit - and we were lucky enough to be able to go this morning! We learnt about all the food and other items that are donated, and even helped to pack a couple of boxes that will go out to families in need, today, in photos below.

 

Mrs Bartlett is taking the upper school members of the school council on Monday!
