Extreme Reading

19th April 2020
I heard about this from another school and really liked the idea! The aim is to encourage children to continue to read regularly while they are not in school.  The challenge is for them to find an 'extreme' way of reading a book and get someone to take a photo of them and share it with friends and family.  This could be of them reading in a strange or unusual place in their house or garden, reading while wearing a strange costume or anything else designed to make people laugh.  To get things started, I have shared a picture on our Facebook Group of me reading on my children's climbing frame!  I can't wait to see what the children think of - they are always so much more creative than me!
