See you soon!

You may have seen from a post on this group yesterday, or your child might have mentioned this, but this week, in our worship groups, we wrote notes to go inside cards, made by the children, to our local neighbours. We weren't expecting to hear back.
We have been completely overwhelmed. We have had a thank you card and several emails, all from different neighbours, thanking us for this gesture and letting us know just how much our neighbours appreciated it.
We wanted to share one of these with you, copied below (anonymously). Mrs Bartlett shared it with the whole school in Worship today and it meant a lot to all of us.
Thank you for all your help and support over the last few days and weeks. It has been a difficult and at times confusing time and your understanding and positive feedback about the way we have handled things has meant a lot to us. We have reached the end of what has been an emotional day and now look towards the next phase of this unusual time. We will be in contact next week as necessary to keep you informed and up to date. As we told the children today, this is not goodbye and we will see you soon. Look after yourselves, your families and each other.

Hi

I just felt I needed to say thank you for the card.

I am on self-isolation and it’s a time like this you realise how isolating it really is not being able to go to work, see friends or simply to the shops. Makes me really think of all the people who struggle daily to get out, not just in these difficult circumstances. It is amazing how a simple card can bring a smile and happiness.

I really hope the children learn and take this sense of kindness you are teaching them forward as they become teenagers and into adult life. This sense of kindness often gets forgotten with the busy lifestyles we all now lead, we rarely stop to take a moments thought for others. It is lovely that you are teaching them to do just that.

Thank you to all the staff and students.

Keep well and keep smiling
