I have just got back from taking the two school ambassadors to the war memorial at the triangle in East End. Unfortunately the usual service on Remembrance Day was not able to go ahead but a small number of wreath layers gathered today just before 11:00am for a short Remembrance Service, in line with current guidelines. We listened to the names of the local people who lost their lives, as a result of the wars, being read out, observed the two minute silence and laid our wreath. It was a very moving service and I was incredibly proud of our two school ambassadors who did an amazing job of representing our school, even coping when the wind blew one of the other wreaths down, while they were laying their wreath!
